Frisbee

by Ben Macnair

He struggles at first,
as young children often do.
The frisbee leaves his hand,
and falls to the floor.

He says he can’t do it,
but he is not using his proper hand.
He is Left-Handed, like me,
told to use his right hand.

I tell him it is ok to be left handed.
Lots of people are, and left handed people can do a lot of things.

I throw another Frisbee with my left hand,
it soars through the air.
He picks up his frisbee
with his left hand,
he throws it away,
it soars.

He smiles,
and says, I did it.
