In the moonlight our words were limitless
We had those hard conversations in the dark. Your soft breath a tail wind of memory
as it cascaded across my sheets.
In the moonlight our words were limitless,
children with unstained wonder and glee. Together,
we could crouch in the doom and starve in each other’s arms, uttering our problems in each
other’s ears til
the bitter end.
Our Victorian dream of candlelight and lace sputtered,
plagued by miasma and plaque filled gums.
