From Above It All Looks Like Patchwork

by Marc Brimble

‏‏‎ ‎

funny isn’t it
containing the land

but

green is a fugitive
she jumps the walls

and

the cornfields
are envious of the sky

because

air is like sea
slipping through a hand

while

birds look down
and wonder
