There are small bits of magic woven into the fabric of our days.
Witness the symphony of souls
walking alongside one another
gifting each other compliments.
Share a silent nod with a stranger
at the train station. In that moment,
in that space, you are connected.
Listen to the radiance of laughter
among friends. Their bliss, their joy
is a glow dancing in the air.
Notice a child, weary from today’s adventures
finding comfort on a parent’s shoulders,
surrendering themselves to sleep.
In clasped hands, feel the warmth
of an elderly couple. Their love
unwavering after all these years.
Hear the sweet melody
of a street musician’s song.
Carefree, jubilant, alive.
See the solidarity that arises after storms.
People checking in on one another. Comfort
in the wake of devastation.
Marvel at those who experience life’s
toughest battles—how they emerge
on the other side, full of compassion.
Observe the sparkle in the eyes
of those speaking of their passions,
lighting up the night like constellations.
These small bits of magic stitched together are why we carry on.
