I Believe

I believe in change.

I believe in change. Things are constantly evolving, from one moment to the next. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, consciously. I believe in the change of thought. The gradual building over time, that comes with exposure to someone or something. Acceptance, or annoyance. Indifference or explosion. I believe in the change of emotion, the change in feelings for a friend, lover, mother. I believe in the change of feelings born as a result of time, or deed. I believe in the change of feelings from realization or uncertainty. I believe in the change of experiences themselves. How they can seem one way at one time, and look totally different in retrospect, how we feel inside of it and out. How they mean something different within the world and the times it has gone through. I believe in the change of wishes, which come with experience or time. I believe in the way need, boredom, or exposure alters it, and how we can begin to wish for something we once resented or feared.

I believe in the change of the world as different people enter or leave it, better or worse than it was, physically, spiritually, mentally. I believe in transformation through the new ideas, through the attacks, through the planting of roots, through the development of pills. I believe in the change of people. I believe their change is inspired by all these others, through thought, feeling, experience, wishes, the state of the world. I believe that once people change, they can never be exactly what they once were. I believe that through their experiences, they can desperately wish, to the point of destruction, or to the benefit of many others and themselves. I believe that through the change of thought, they can write books or rewrite the history of crime. I believe that through the change of feeling, they can leave one devastated, or save devastating themselves. I believe through the change of experience we can learn or shame. I believe that through the change of the world, we adapt or fall. I believe that change exists, with all effects in tow, wholeheartedly. I believe change can mean annihilation or growth. I believe change will always exist.
