The ocean sparkles under the blazing sun
Inviting every soul to enjoy the refreshing sight
People lounge on their beds of soft sand and fabric
Laughing and drinking with great cheer
To the naked eye, it is a day of happiness
Nothing but joy and good company
But under the glistening sea and powder sand
Cracks are forming and reaching
People sit upon an ugly mass of darkness
And drown in the fumes of hatred it’s spewing
The laughter takes on a tinge of spite
Discussions of mundane delights become bitter
People glare at others who are not like themselves
And whisper diabolic acts amongst each other
Each sparkle of the ocean grows dimmer and dimmer
As the ugly mass grows stronger and stronger
The cool breeze becomes heated with discontent
And the sand is like hot coals, burning in their hatred
