Author’s note: This is a time of grief, suffering, and uncertainty. All of us must find our way to resilience by any means possible. That healing and stabilization of the self are a forms of blossoming—like the blossoming in my collage—to be contrasted with the grey, overcast horizons we must face every day. We must fight oppression every day, and we must fight for joy. We must not become numb from the constant lies, the persistent gaslighting, and the precariousness of the latest news cycle.
